5 Ways To Boost Your Energy - Without Coffee!

As a busy mum, there are many moments throughout the day, where we start to feel our energy dipping. Now, as much as yummy coffee feels like a beautiful friend who’s come to say, “hello, I see you, I will help you get through the rest of this crazy day”, it can actually leave use feeling worse, as it does quite a number on those adrenals!

 

So, what are some alternatives we can use to boost our energy, that will keep our daily coffee consumption in check?

Here are 5 ways to boost your energy in a matter of minutes:

 

  1. Drink water – Most of us Mums are walking around completely dehydrated which keeps our energy levels very sluggish. Around 2 litres a day is what the average person should be drinking. How close to this amount are you? Do you need to add a couple of glasses a day?
  2. Move – Hop up and do some star jumps or jog on the spot. If you have the time for a quick 5 minute walk. Doing this outside in the fresh air gives an even bigger boost.
  3. Take a five - Give yourself some space from others. Meditate if you can, even if it’s in the loo! Focus on releasing any energy that isn’t yours, find your centre and regroup. We take on a lot of energy and emotions from others during the day, you don’t want it all to be dragging you down.
  4. Ground – Get those bare feet on the earth or in the sand. Sit under a big beautiful tree to eat lunch, or just focus on being really present in your body.
  5. Deep breathing – Oxygen is life! Taking a few big deep breathes being sure to fill up your entire lungs will boost your energy, especially when you are out in the fresh air. Just be careful if you have asthma, or breathing difficulties, you know your body, so use your discernment.
